Washington Council of Governments taps Joint Venture Marketing Washington Council of Governments taps Joint Venture Marketing to promote telecommuting through direct mail program LANHAM, MD- Joint Venture Marketing and Communications, Inc. recently signed a contract with the Washington Council of Governments to promote the agencies telecommuting program as an effective alternative to driving to the workplace.

The goal of the Commuter Connections Program is to raise awareness of traffic congestion and pollution problems by providing employer outreach services to area businesses and presenting substitute commuting options, incentives and benefits like telecommuting.

Joint Venture Marketing has developed an innovative marketing approach that explains the benefits of telecommuting as a way to reduce overhead, increase productivity and improve employee retention. Employers are encouraged to participate in a program that offers thousands of dollars in federal aid and services. The firm designed and produced a full color direct mailing piece and a multi-media presentation. The brochure and CD were mailed to over 650 senior level managers and CEOs of fortune 500 companies in the Washington Metropolitan area, and were followed up with a personal call and sales presentation.
